Continuing its legacy of producing 360,000 vehicles a year and supplying them to every corner of U.S since 1987, Subaru of Indiana Automotive Inc. is all set to celebrate its 25th anniversary this month.

Subaru started production in 1987 as a JV (Joint Venture) with Fuji Heavy Industries and Isuzu and completes success of 25 years of delivering quality this month in U.S. The car plant originally started producing Subaru Legacy and Isuzu pickup trucks and also Rodeos for U.S. consumers.

The carmaker currently has the 820-acre facility which employees 3,600 workers and has the full throttle capacity to build 360,000 vehicles every year. According to Subaru, the plant is currently building the Subaru Legacy, Outback and Tribeca as well as the 2012 Toyota Camry in a mutual contract with Toyota motors.
