Finally, It's the Acura NSX: 2015 Detroit Auto Show

Years after an excruciatingly long reveal process, composed of subsequent concept cars that would eventually lead up to an amazing product, Acura revealed the successor to its iconic NSX today.

What is it?

This beautiful vehicle is the halo car that Acura intends to lift the brand's perception of performance. A twin-turbocharged V-6 of undisclosed capacity will live under the hood, assisted by wheel-mounted electric motors for what the brand promises to be unbelievably quick off-the-line times.

What's new?

This will be the first production NSX that features a hybrid drivetrain—but if you've been following over the last several years, you knew that was coming. This NSX is wider and longer than the last NSX to sit in an Acura showroom, and it's a world ahead in terms of styling. Think Porsche 918 Spyder-esque presence.

Most fascinating feature?

Although thoroughly Japanese in design and execution, the NSX will be produced at a Honda/Acura facility in Ohio.

Can I buy it?

Not yet. Order books are expected to open this summer, before deliveries commence at the end of 2015.
