Texas Bucks Rescued after Tangling Their Antlers around a Pole (VIDEO)

Two deer managed to tangle their antlers together with a nylon rope and then get themselves stuck on a pole before a Texas game warden came to their rescue earlier this week

The unusual incident was captured on camera when a Texas Parks and Wildlife Department warden came to cut the rope linking the bucks' antlers together, the Associated Press reported.

The resulting video, which was released on Monday, has racked up a healthy 165,000 views on YouTube so far, showing the warden bringing his truck close to the trapped deer and then carefully slicing the rope that joins them with a knife.

The warden came to the bucks' rescue near some cabins in Comal County in response to a call about two deer who were trapped by a rope that connected their antlers and became wrapped around a pole, officials told the AP.

The two bucks were Texas white-tailed deer in mating season, which runs from mid-October to early December in that area, San Mercos Mercury reported via the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

During the breeding time, deer tend to rove around more, and bucks lose some of their natural caution as they search for females, according to the parks department.
