Porsche is indeed doing the best of what it can to stay in the top ranks of  the world's coolest and fastest cars. With this, it brings about the new Porsche 911 Turbo.

Speed

The 2017 model of the Porsche 911 was found to have more power than the Turbo S, given that the latter is one of the quickest in terms of going from 0 to 60mph. 20 horsepower have been added to each of the two new Turbo models for this year, with the basic Turbo originally having 520 horsepower, and the Turbo S initially having 560.

An over boost which is not permanent increases the torque to the 2 Turbo models at 37 lb-ft. In a comparative evaluation among sports cars, the Turbo S ranks higher in terms of speed compared to both the R8 V10 model of the Audi, and the 570S model of the McLaren.

In the said evaluation, the Turbo S went from 0 to 60mph in a mere 2.6 seconds, and was able to travel a quarter of a mile in just 10.6 seconds, doing so with a speed of 131 mph, and this is despite having a less horsepower rating by 40. All these tests were conducted at the Thunderhill Raceway Park in California.

The Turbo S is equipped carbon-ceramic brakes which are a standard, and there is a better resistance to fading, and a more straight forward pedal stroke. When using these models, you could say goodbye to wrong transmission issues, especially when you leave it in Sport Plus mode.

The right gear would snap down when a hard braking force is applied and then holds until the engine reaches the red line, maximum at 7000-rpm.

Money Matters

The Turbo S and the Turbo have their share of differences. The latter has its own line of turbochargers made especially for it.

Custom features for the Turbo S include wheels which lock at the center, the standard carbon-ceramic brakes, and the bars which enable the anti-roll, priced at $3790, $9210, and $3160, respectively. Adding those extras on your Turbo costs almost just as much as the Turbo S.
